Falls Area Community Television has completed the DVD of the 2010 BFUHS High School Commencement Ceremonies. Ypu can still order a copy of this once in a lifetime event. Each graduate is guaranteed to be in the video and will be featured walking on the stage receiving his/her diploma. This video is a great gift for any occasion and is great way to share this special event with those friends or relatives who could not attend. The video is $25.00 and is a great companion to the yearbook.

It's Simple and anybody can participate. Pick up a log book. Log each mile you walk, run, bike or hike this summer. Tune in to channel 8 for fitness tips and support during the challenge. Once completed hand in the log book to Ripples Fitness Center 1 Hospital Court by September 30th to be eligible for the prize drawing.

Include ten cents per mile pledge and the money will be donated directly to the Rockingham Recreation Center Fund.

For all that you have done to help us grow, for all the kindness and generosity you brought to the Greater Falls area, and for all that you have given to everyone, we thank you, Rose, you'll be greatly missed.

  

Expanded Meeting Coverage!
Falls Area Community Television has launched it's extended meeting coverage program. For many years it has always been a goal of FACT to get out into the out lying areas of our service territory and cover the town, school & village meetings. This goal has become a reality due to the paid staff provided to us by Vermont Associates. With the new staff we are now able to cover Athens Select board, Westminster School Board, Westminster Select board, Saxtons River Trustees, Grafton School Board, Grafton Select board. Please check out our program guide for channel 10 to see the new program schedule.

Camera & Editing classes begin Wednesday January 6th, 2010 at 6:00PM. If your at all interested in learning please call the station at 463-1613, and enroll now! Fact needs new producers to be trained so that they can bring there talents to the station and create new and exciting shows. If you have a burning desire to do something fun and fulfilling with your free time then wait no longer, and come on down to FACT TV and learn an exciting new hobby. Students will have the choice between two classes Studio Production or Digital Production.

Studio Production will require the student to participate in the complete production of a news style "studio" Program. Each student will explore the individual roles involved with studio production, including : Director, Camera Operator, On-Camera Talent, Audio Mixer, Technical Director, Lighting Director & Graphics. After learning all aspects of the studio & studio control room, each student will be required to submit a news story and accompanying photograph or video footage, select a particular role, and produce a ten minute news-related program.

Digital Production will teach the students the basics of video production concentrating on the tool and methods used in making video programs. Students will participate in hands-on enviroment, learning proper camera operation, audio recording, basic lighting and most importantly the fine art of post -production editing. This course will give you all the tools you need to go out and shoot and edit your story for air on FACT 8.

BASIC COMPUTER TRAINING
Basic Computer course's will begin on Tuesday January 5th, 2010 at 6:00PM. Sign Up Today!
This class will train you with the basic skills you need to operate an Apple computer. This class is designed for those people who have very little computer skills and want to know more about the computer. In this class students will become familiar with there computer and will be able to navigate through the computer with ease. At the very end of the class students will learn how to upload videos on to the web. This is a great class for all those people who are just learning the computer.

This year FACT is making a large captial investment into our editing studio. We will be purchasing four new computers. These new computers will be used by the public for editing their video projects. FACT this year will be seeking out individuals who show a talent in video editing to become a part of a volunteer editing crew. This crew will help the less technically inclined producers at FACT with editing. FACT also made an investment in our sound recording devices for take out. FACT will now have a wireless microphone system for take out and use by the public. FACT is always looking for new creative and talented people to produce programming for our station.
