Field Producer – Part-Time
Falls Area Community Television (FACT TV)
Falls Area Community Television is looking for a motivated and creative Field Producer to help bring local stories, events, and voices to the screen. This position plays a key role in capturing and sharing community life throughout Southern Vermont.
Position Overview
The Field Producer films, streams, and coordinates coverage of local events—including community gatherings, high school sports, and government meetings. You will work both independently and with freelancers to produce high-quality content for broadcast, our website, and social media platforms.
Primary Responsibilities

Film and livestream events across Southern Vermont

Coordinate and train freelance crew members for event coverage

Perform light video editing and prepare content for online and broadcast distribution

Upload and manage content on the FACT TV website and social media channels

Maintain production equipment and manage the reservation system

Continue training on FACT TV gear and new technology to expand production capabilities
Preferred Skills & Experience

Understanding of live video production workflows

Experience with cameras, audio mixing, and event production

Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software and equipment

Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who shows initiative, reliability, and a passion for community media.
Schedule & Requirements

Part-time: 20–30 hours per week

Schedule varies by assignments; availability required Monday–Saturday, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM

Must have a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to events

Mileage reimbursement provided in addition to hourly pay

This subcontractor role involves filming, recording audio, and live streaming events directly to our website. While prior experience in video production and live sound is preferred, we are also open to training enthusiastic and motivated individuals.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, operate, and break down video and audio equipment for live events
• Film events with high attention to detail, ensuring quality video and audio capture
• Live stream events to FACT TV’s website, providing real-time engagement for our viewers
• Coordinate with event organizers and FACT TV team members to ensure smooth production
Requirements:
• Preferred experience in video production and live sound, though not required
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new production techniques
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (required)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
