Village of Saxtons River Annual Meeting April 22nd, 2024

THE LEGAL VOTERS OF SAXTONS RIVER VILLAGE ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED AND WARNED TO MEET AT 7:00 PM ON MONDAY, APRIL 22, 2024 AT MAIN STREET ARTS, 35 MAIN STREET, TO TAKE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING ARTICLES:

ARTICLE 1: To elect a Moderator.
ARTICLE 2: To hear the reports of the Trustees, Treasurer, Auditors, Fire Department, FAST Squad, Tax Collector, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Recreation Center, Saxtons River Park Committee and Windham County Sheriff.

ARTICLE 3: To elect the following officers, to wit: Four Trustees, Treasurer, Tax Collector, Collector of Delinquent Taxes, Village Clerk, and Three Auditors.

ARTICLE 4: To see if the voters will vote to assess a tax on the Grand List of the Village for general operating expenses, the indebtedness of the Village and interest for the ensuing year; and if so, how much.

ARTICLE 5: To see what action the voters will take in relation to the collection of taxes.

ARTICLE 6: To see if the voters will authorize the Treasurer, subject to the approval of the Trustees, to borrow money, if necessary, to pay the current operating expenses of the Village prior to the collection of taxes.

ARTICLE 7: To transact any other business proper to be brought before this meeting.
