Innovation, creativity, and community are coming together at the Rockingham Free Public Library!
The Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street exhibit, Spark! Places of Innovation, has arrived in Bellows Falls and will be on display at the Rockingham Free Public Library from June 16 through July 26, 2026. This fascinating traveling exhibit explores the people, places, and ideas that spark innovation in rural communities across America—and invites us to reflect on the unique stories and creative spirit found right here at home.
To celebrate the exhibit’s arrival, the library will host a special Open House on Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 AM. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exhibit, learn about the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program, and discover how small towns like ours continue to inspire new ideas, creativity, and community connections.
Spark! Places of Innovation is presented through a partnership between the Smithsonian Institution, Vermont Humanities, and New Hampshire Humanities, bringing nationally recognized exhibits to rural communities throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a lifelong learner, an innovator, or simply curious about the stories that shape our communities, this is an exhibit you won’t want to miss.
