Movies about Changing the World Interview with Filmmaker Charles Light
Susan MacNeil Interviews world renowned filmmaker Charles Light. From communes to the frontlines of the anti-nuclear movement, Massachusetts filmmaker Charles Light has spent over five decades documenting activism and the counterculture. His groundbreaking film Lovejoy’s Nuclear War helped capture the spirit of resistance in the 1970s, and his recent award-winning documentary Far Out: Life On & After the Commune brings those stories to life for a new generation.
With sold-out premieres and recognition like Best New England Feature at the Newburyport Documentary Film Festival, Light’s work continues to inspire, educate, and remind us of the power of grassroots action.
Catch Charles Light in person during the Movies About Changing the World series at the Bellows Falls Opera House this September!
